Google Launches $100 Gemini Spark Subscription Plan to Fill Gap Between AI Pro and Ultra
At the 2026 Google I/O Developer Conference, Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced a new $100 subscription plan supporting Gemini Spark AI agents. This plan aims to fill the market gap between AI Pro ($20/month) and AI Ultra ($250/month), competing with similar products from Anthropic and OpenAI.
Google's current AI subscription tiers have a clear gap: AI Pro is for light users, while AI Ultra targets enterprise needs. However, for advanced users who use AI for programming or complex workflows, Pro lacks sufficient resources and Ultra is too expensive.
The new plan will offer more resource quotas than Pro while avoiding the enterprise premium of Ultra, expected to capture the mid-to-high-end market and meet the needs of advanced users.
