Google Launches Nano Banana 2 Lite, Generates Images in 4 Seconds at Lower Cost

Google has launched a new AI model called Nano Banana 2 Lite, designed for fast and cheap image and video generation. It can create an image in just 4 seconds, with lower delay than before, and costs only $0.034 per 1000 images, making it ideal for high-volume tasks.

This lightweight model is now available on Google AI Studio, Gemini API, and other platforms, replacing the original Nano Banana. Google also expanded access to Gemini Omni Flash, which charges $0.10 per second for video generation.

A new demo app, Omni Product Studio, was also shown, turning static images into cinematic e-commerce videos. Google says these tools let developers build complete multimedia experiences from fast image creation to video editing.
