Google Upgrades AI Creative Platform Flow: Integrates Gemini Model, Enhances Video Editing and Creation Assistance
At the 2026 Google I/O Developer Conference, Google announced the upgrade of its AI creative platform Google Flow, focusing on integrating Gemini Omni Flash reasoning and generative media capabilities to expand creative boundaries. Initially a tool for filmmakers, Flow has evolved into an AI creative studio available in over 140 countries and regions.
After this upgrade, users can leverage the Gemini model to enhance fine video editing, ensuring more consistent character presentation across multiple shots (available to global Google AI subscribers). Additionally, Flow Agent assists with brainstorming, content generation, and batch editing; Flow Tools supports custom tools and workflows via natural language; Flow Music allows segment-by-segment song edits. Most of these features are now open to global Flow users.
