Honor CEO says the AI entry-point race isn't zero-sum, trust is what matters
Honor CEO Li Jian spoke at the 2026 Mobile Network Conference. He said the race for AI entry points is not a zero-sum game. The industry should focus on winning user trust and give control back to users.
He believes "scarcity" drives how business works. In the smart economy era, delegated intent is the new scarcity. Business logic is shifting to an intent economy where companies earn by delivering results, and entry points will be born the moment users have a need.
The industry still faces three hurdles: can AI actually get things done, can it truly understand users, and can it be trusted. As he put it, capability decides how fast AI goes, and trust decides how far it can go.
Honor will team up with China Mobile. Its assistant YOYO will connect with partners like Lingxi, Qwen, Doubao and Gemini to build an agent network, and Honor will launch Token packages first on Magic9 custom phones to explore new business models.
