Perplexity Launches Teammate, an AI Agent That Plans and Runs Projects

AI company Perplexity has launched a new feature called Teammate. It works like a team member for users and can handle long, complex tasks on its own, making planning easier when using Perplexity Computer. A Teammate plans and coordinates projects, changes direction when priorities shift, and hands in results for review. One Teammate also manages Computer sessions and works with other Teammates to keep projects moving, while users can check and guide its work along the way. The feature requires a Perplexity Max subscription. It is rolling out on the web first, then coming to iOS. Perplexity plans to expand access and add more features in the coming weeks.
