Kimi apologizes for K3.1 Pro issues and gives members extra quota
Moonshot AI's Kimi launched K3.1 Pro on Oct 24, the first model of its K3.1 series and its strongest model yet, with 3 trillion parameters and 1 million token context.
Soon after, some Kimi members hit rate limits and wasted quota when using K3.1 Pro. Kimi posted an apology, admitted the fault, and said it should have fixed things earlier.
As compensation, Kimi is resetting quotas for all paid members: every active member gets an extra 25% of the monthly total, about a week's usage. If usage is under 25%, it resets to 0.
Kimi has also adjusted its setup, cutting unnecessary sub-Agent calls and output length, so the same quota can finish more real tasks.
