Nvidia's Vera Rubin chip coming this year, AI giants line up
Feeling the AI data crunch? Nvidia just reported a record $81.6 billion in quarterly revenue, up 85% from last year. And the big news: their next-gen AI chip, Vera Rubin, is coming soon.
CEO Jensen Huang confirmed Vera Rubin will launch in the second half of this year, with first deliveries starting in Q3. He says every major AI company will choose it, making it even more successful than the previous Blackwell chip. Early customers include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, and Oracle.
Built on TSMC's 3nm process, each Vera Rubin AI server rack costs about $180 million. Trial production starts in June, with units heading to North American data centers in July. If you're planning AI upgrades, keep an eye on Vera Rubin's ecosystem.
